Established in 1976, the Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan (CES) is a non-profit provincial business association representing consulting engineers and geoscientists. As such, our Mission is straight forward: "To strengthen the Consulting Engineering and Geoscience industry in Saskatchewan".
The Association's membership is comprised of consulting engineering and geoscience companies, that employ over 1900 individuals made up of both consulting engineering and geoscience professionals and their staff. All consulting engineers and geoscientists are regulated by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) which means our member firms have a legal and an ethical obligation to work for the betterment of society. The majority of member firms are located in major centres in Saskatchewan. As defined in the Fields of Specializations section of this website, members of the Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan are active in all sectors of the economy, which includes everything from Agriculture, to Resource Developments in Mining and Oil & Gas, to the High Technology sector such as the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron.
CES members are uniquely positioned to promote innovation in design, construction and operations for our public infrastructure and private industry. Their staff complement is highly qualified, can provide designs which are environmentally friendly and which can result in reduced long term operating and maintenance costs. CES recommends clients reference the Best Practice for Selecting a Professional Consultant as a method to encourage creativity and innovation that can result in better value and allows engineering firms to provide the necessary resources to meet their client's expectations.
