Our Association

About Us

Established in 1976, the Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan (CES) is a non-profit provincial business association representing consulting engineers and consulting geoscientists. As such, our Mission is straight forward:  "To strengthen the Consulting Engineering and Geoscience industry in Saskatchewan".

The Associations membership consists of member firms representing over 1200 individuals, largely professionals regulated by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). As such, our member firms have a legal and an ethical obligation to work for the betterment of society. The majority of the member firms are located in the major centres of the province. As defined in the Fields of Specializations section of this website, members of the Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan are active in all sectors of the economy, everything from Agriculture to Resource Developments in Mining and Oil & Gas to the High Technology sector such as the Canadian Light Source Synchrotron.

CES members are uniquely positioned to promote innovation in design, construction and operations for our public infrastructure and private industry.  They are highly qualified, can provide designs which are environmentally friendly and which can result in reduced long term operating and maintenance costs. CES recommends clients reference the Best Practice for Selecting a Professional Consultant as a method to encourage creativity and innovation that can result in better value to taxpayers and allows engineering firms to provide the necessary resources to meet their client's expectations.

CES has established Sector Committees to raise awareness and increase recognition within the industry of the services offered by CES Member Firms.
