The Strategic functions of CES to provide commercial value to the membership can be summarized into the following categories: Image, Remuneration, Member Services and CES Office Administration/Operations

Remuneration

  • Promotion of the “Best Practice” for Selecting a Professional Consultant based on Qualification Based Selection (QBS) process and fair compensation to members for services provided
  • Recommended Schedule of Fees to be Charged for General Consulting Engineering and Geoscience Projects and Services
  • Schedule of Recommended Fees to be Charged for Specialized Engineering Projects and Services in the Building Field
  • CES member firms participate in various surveys (i.e. national surveys conducted by ACEC, National Business surveys, Western Compensation & Benefits Consultants Salary Survey)

Member Services

  • Membership, Associate Membership and HonouraryMembership are offered to firms and individuals who meet the necessary qualifications
  • Industry Liaison - CES represents the business interests of the Consulting Engineering and Geoscience member firms at various levels of government as well as the private sector, provides a coordinated business network within other organizations and the public speaking on behalf of the Consulting Engineering and Geoscience industry in Saskatchewan.
  • Business promotion of CES and member firms through various venues (see "Image" above)
  • Inclusion of Consulting Geoscientist firms as members of CES
  • Annual General Meeting, Annual Ted ReyMemorial Golf Tournament
  • Annual CES Awards of Excellence and Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Meritorious Achievement Award Event in Saskatoon

    • CES, as a Member Organization of the Association of Canadian Engineering Companies (ACEC), provides related membership in an organization which speaks for the Consulting Engineering industry on national issues.
    • CES has representation at the ACEC Board Table and on National ACEC Committees
    • CES representative(s) participate at the annual ACEC National Summit
    • CES Member firms have access to ACEC/CCDC documents at member rates (i.e. some provided free of charge to CES Member Firms)
