Terra Grain Fuels Ethanol Plant
Project Description
GENIVAR was retained by VCM/Ellis Don in Joint Venture to provide general engineering for the development of a $140 million ethanol facility near Belle Plaine in 2006. This plant produces ethanol from fermentation of wheat and would be the largest wheat based ethanol plant in North America.
GENIVAR worked with Delta T (Process Engineers) to develop the design of the faciltiy. Delta T provided the wet end design along with the required piping and instrumentation requirements for this process. GENIVAR provided civil, structural, mechanical and electrical design for the remaining requirements of the facility.
