Project Description

UMA Engineering Ltd. was retained by Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation to review the sewage disposal system for the community of Southend and make recommendations on the potential relocation of the sewage lagoon. Detailed design of a two cell aerobic lagoon, 1,800 meter access road, 3,200 meter sewage forcemain and primary pumping station were completed. UMA faced many challenges throughout the project and through innovative techniques, the project was successfully completed. With the completion of this project, the growth and economy of the community of Southend will continue to expand.
