MARQUIS INDUSTRIAL TRUNK SEWER PROJECT
Project Description
UMA Engineering Ltd. acted as consulting engineer to Hamm Construction Ltd. for the development and preparation of an Engineered Excavation and Tunnel Plans for the Marquis Industrial Trunk Sewer project. Sub-consultants included HK Mittal and Associates. This project is one of the largest single underground infrastructure contracts undertaken by the City of Saskatoon and involved the installation of 1200mm to 3050mm diameter concrete pipes to a depth of 7.5m to 12m, as well as a pipe crossing at the CNR Warman Subdivision. Risk assessment conducted early on in the project resulted in the use of superior and efficient construction methods.
