Compaction Plant Addition and Capacity Increase
Project Description
AMEC conducted feasibility studies and provided design engineering, procurement and construction management services. The project increased mill production by 749,000 tonnes per year to 3.044 million tonnes per year, including an increase in production of granular grade potash by compaction. The mill production increase was achieved through existing building modifications; however a building addition was required to house the new 40" diameter roll compactors and related equipment. The project was completed within the original budget of $112 million and met an accelerated schedule of nineteen months.
