Project Description:
The Canadian Light Source (CLS) Synchrotron Project located in Saskatoon, on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan, represents a major milestone in Canadian research. The foresight and dreams of Canadian researchers from 30 years ago are now the reality of what today is Canada's first synchrotron lab, the CLS. The UMA Group, together with Canadian Light Source Inc. and the University of Saskatchewan formed the project management team who successfully delivered this unique, complex and innovative project.
UMA, as project manager, brought systems, procedures and experienced personnel tailored for science and research based projects. UMA adopted a best practices and a legacy philosophy in its approach to the CLS. The transfer of technology goals were created to leave project management methodologies within the CLSI organization while creating a body of synchrotron knowledge within the UMA organization. UMA is proud to be associated with the team of talented, dedicated and skilled people which have assembled as the CLS Project Delivery Team.
